Terms of Service

By using menumargin.app (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated by Small Dev Shop Inc ("we"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service.

MenuMargin is a food cost calculator. You enter ingredients and recipes, and we calculate cost per serving, food cost percentage, and suggested menu prices. We do not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice. Pricing decisions you make based on MenuMargin's calculations are your own.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

MenuMargin has a free plan (limited to 5 recipes) and a Pro plan.

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly cycle through Stripe.
• You authorize us to charge the payment method on file until you cancel.
• You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
• You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate or refund partial months, except where required by law.
• If we change prices, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your account.

The ingredients, recipes, and settings you enter stay yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service. If you close your account, we delete your content per our Privacy Policy.

Don't use MenuMargin to:

• Break any law or infringe someone else's rights
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service in ways that disrupt other users
• Circumvent plan limits or share one account across a team paying for a single seat
• Send spam, malware, or abusive content through anything the Service sends
• Resell or repackage MenuMargin as your own product

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice.

MenuMargin, including its design, code, logo, and marketing copy, is owned by Small Dev Shop Inc. These Terms do not give you rights to our branding or source code. The calculator outputs (cost per serving, suggested price) are yours to use.

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.

We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the calculations will perfectly match any particular industry practice. Food cost percentages vary by concept, region, supplier, and a hundred other factors — use MenuMargin's outputs as a starting point, not the last word.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Small Dev Shop Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if we stop offering the Service. When an account ends, your access stops and your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms as the product changes. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Delaware, except that either party may pursue claims in small-claims court if eligible. You waive any right to participate in a class action.
